What started out as just an exercise in play and creative expression between three different creative entrepreneurs quickly turned into a beautiful inspirational shoot for small gatherings and intimate weddings.
A few weeks ago, I got together with Jessica a event stylist from Milwaukee and Jennifer a florist from Naperville and we put together a simple yet elegant tablescape inspiration that would be perfect for anyone planning a small gathering, elopement or intimate wedding reception. As a chicago based wedding photographer, I adore photographing small gatherings and intimate weddings. I love the concept of small tables and sitting across from each other really getting to know each other. To top it all, the wonderful space at Slate Studio Chicago provide the right ambiance with raw exposed ceilings and white brick walls.
Jen and Jess are so incredibly talented. They understood my vision, make sense of my ideas and brought it to fruition. My ‘mm maybe this way’ and ‘can you take this and put it there’ statements were met with head nods and smiles and when I turned around it was done exactly the way I envisioned it. And true to Chicago weather, we had a little bit of rain, a little bit of sun and a little bit of cloud cover but Slate Studio turned out to be the perfect place for this intimate gathering. Thank you to everyone involved for all their hard work and collaboration! .

Vintage silverware and brass candle holders add the right amount of elegance and intimacy to this pretty tables cape.
I think my new favorite florals are roses of all shades of blush!
